Lighting for oil-field maintenance

Oil-field maintenance calls for light beside valves, pipework and equipment under repair. Magnetic work lights support hands-free tasks, hand lamps reach inspection points, and headlamps provide a personal beam as crews move between work positions.

Choose a useful light position

A hand lamp reaches the face of a connection or the underside of equipment that falls outside a broader beam. Its movable source suits close inspection and smaller repairs around pipework.

Magnetic work lights attach to suitable steel surfaces beside the task. A headlamp keeps a personal beam with the wearer, adding local visibility during equipment checks and movement between maintenance positions.

Keep assemblies and markings together

Cord sets extend connections to lights positioned around the equipment. Corded lamps and transformer-fed assemblies have different supply arrangements, including separate input and lamp-side voltages on a step-down assembly.

Classified work areas require the appropriate approval for the complete light, cord and connection arrangement. Keeping those assemblies together also supports equipment handling between jobs and return to a rental fleet or maintenance store.
