Lighting for confined spaces

Hand lamps and personal lights bring illumination to inspection and repair work inside tanks, vessels and restricted equipment spaces. A lamp beside the work surface and a head-worn beam provide different views during internal maintenance.

Light the inspection point

A hand lamp reaches around pipework, under equipment and beside welds or connections. Its position can change with the task, bringing the source close to a surface hidden by the worker or nearby machinery.

A headlamp keeps a personal beam with the wearer. A separately positioned hand lamp provides another view of the repair surface, while the opening, cable route and working position shape access to the task.

Choose the lamp and supply together

Direct-powered hand lamps connect to the supply at their operating voltage. Step-down assemblies use a transformer between the incoming supply and the lower-voltage lamp, with both sides forming part of the complete setup.

Confined-space entry requirements determine the permitted equipment and supply. Wet-location protection does not establish hazardous-location approval, so a damp workspace and a classified atmosphere call for different equipment considerations.
