Industrial Lighting and Temporary Power: Choose by Equipment Role

Industrial work rarely needs just one lighting format. A crew can need general light along its route, a close source at a repair and usable power connections nearby. Choosing by role makes those requirements easier to separate.

Bring light to the inspection

Hand lamps reach around machinery and into close inspection points. Magnetic work lights provide supported lighting beside suitable steel surfaces. Flashlights and headlamps travel with the worker; their carrying format and beam pattern serve different tasks.

Light successive work positions

String assemblies place several light heads along one run. Construction string lights and hazardous-location assemblies are different product types, so check the exact model rather than transferring one family's rating to another.

Bring the supply closer to the work

Distribution and transformer assemblies organize temporary power connections and, where specified, change the supply voltage. Check input and output separately, along with phase, frequency, load and outlet arrangements. A portable transformer is not automatically approved for a classified location.

Keep the equipment and documentation together

Match every configuration to its own voltage, environmental limits and approval. Cords, connectors, bulbs and mounts must be compatible with the complete assembly. Browse the equipment categories for current published products and use the specific product documents to confirm the selection.
